Tail Seal Grease

Model CTR-TSG-P

An economical driving-grade tail sealant formulated for shielded TBMs. CTR-TSG-P is pumped directly into the tail sealing chamber through the machine's automated distribution system, establishing a continuous barrier that prevents ingress of groundwater, soil particles, and annulus grout or mortar grout back into the TBM invert.

The formulation maintains seal integrity at sustained water pressures up to 35 bar and provides strong adhesion to both metal shield surfaces and concrete tunnel lining segments. Its fibrous paste structure offers excellent anti-washout characteristics, preventing product displacement during tail brush contact. Self-extinguishing and flame retardant — not classified as hazardous under EU CLP.

Self-extinguishing & water insoluble — flame retardant for tunnel safety; water insoluble to prevent environmental leaching into groundwater.
